Sweet and Spicy Vegan Teriyaki Wings

Ingredients List

  • 2 cups of Jackfruit

  • 2 cups of Chickpea

  • 1/2 cup of vital gluten wheat

  • 2 tablespoons of maple syrup

  • Rice paper rolls

  • 1 tablespoon of Lemon juice

  • Sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce (to taste)

  • Garlic powder (to taste)

  • Onion powder (to taste)

  • Salt (to taste)

  • Pepper (to taste)

  • Sugar (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chickpeas, jackfruit, vital gluten wheat, maple syrup, lemon juice, and seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and sugar). Mix well until everything is combined.

  2. Shape the mixture into small patties or chunks, depending on your preference.

  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add a little oil if necessary. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the rice paper rolls by soaking them in warm water until they are pliable.

  5. Place a cooked patty in the center of each rice paper roll, add some sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, and wrap them tightly.

  6. Serve the rice paper rolls with additional teriyaki sauce for dipping.
